I have always thought it was so cool to trade ink samples with others. It can save you from the horror of having an entire bottle of ink you’ll never use, or spurn a love so great that a case of said ink magically arrives at your door π
Well let the sampling begin!
In honor of this awesome shipment I want to pay it forward and have a little fun too.
Prize: Five 4-5ML ink samples. Any inks in the photos are available to sample.
How to win: Simply comment here, on my IG post or my post on the FPN FB group, or all three! Just tell me what your favorite ink is and why.
Open to πΊπΈ
Winner will be chosen on 12/14/16 after 7:00PM HST.
If you have any questions leave them in the comments or inbox me. Could be super fun for someone who loves pinks, purples, and blues lol.

My favorite ink of all time is my Akkerman Parkpop Purper. It is a bold rich purple but not harsh to read.

Because I am allowed to have more than one favorite ink, I will say that I have fallen in love with Bung Box Fresh Oranges of Lake Hamanaka. It shades beautifully and just makes me happy. I’ve spent my whole life “not liking orange” because I simply can’t wear it, but in inks! Oh, now I love me some orange inks… The BB one is really special.

Oh wow! I’ve been looking for a good orange ink. I have been a little awkward about trying it an orange too but I know you have good taste so this might be the one! :). I love BB inks.

Wow, I love your collection! I have been holding off on buying a whole lot of full bottles until I work my way through my sizeable sample collection to really nail down what I love.
My favorite ink is still Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki, the second full bottle I ever bought. It just tows that perfect line between bright and fun but still mostly work appropriate

I don’t have a bottle of Kon-Peki sadly! It’s on my list to get though :). All of the Pilot Iro inks are just so lovely!
Where do you get your samples from?

I’ve only tried a handful of inks (5). My favorite permanent ink so far is Baystate Blue. I have a montverde turquoise that I enjoy also.

As always, thanks for the giveaway, very generous, as usual.
I love sepia, especially Maruzen Athena Sepia. it’s an antique brown and shades almost black. Lovely ink and then some. For me, it’s all abut the shading.
I’m still looking for a dark rich purple that shades for days and the same with blue. I big honking wet deep or royal blue that just evolves and shades.

I have never tried a lot of these inks, but I have to say the J Hebin Pousierre de Lune has been a favourite for while. It’s subtle enough that I can use it for professional work, but still rich and deep.
Didn’t win last time, will try my luck again!

What a fun idea! As I posted on the FPN FB page, I am a newbie to the addiction and have only tried one brand of ink. And I had mixed feelings. I would love to see how I like writing in pink or purple, but shades of blue are classic.

Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine is my favorite right now. I bought it to go with the M205 Aquamarine, my first Pelikan pen. I am starting to try it in other pens, especially want to see how it looks in broad and stub nibs.

I just got the M205 with the aquamarine ink as well, awesome pen with a great color. I’m still breaking the nib in though. The ink is amazing as well! Love the shading etc.

What a fun and generous thing for you to do! Right now, I’m a fountain pen newbie with two pens and a mere three inks. This would be a fun way of trying out some new inks. Since I lack experience, I’m going to say my favourite ink is Noodler’s Lexington Grey. I primarily use my FPs for drawing and I love that it’s a robust grey but not as harsh as a black. I also love that it’s waterproof even when I dilute it 50/50 for grisaille washes.

Thank you :). I haven’t tried to mix or dilute inks yet, perhaps when I’m not such a novice!

Just to be clear, I use either a dip pen or a brush with the diluted inks. I wouldn’t risk them in a fountain pen.

My favorite ink is a toss-up. I’m loving Noodler’s Cactus Fruit Eel but that could easily be attributed to the pen it’s in–Visconti Rembrandt Spec Ops. It’s a pretty magenta color that is rich enough it even shows up well on my blue post-it notes!
My other favorite is J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune. I love the soft grey undertones and the shading, especially in a stub nib. I love it so much I have convinced at least four other people to buy it and they’re thrilled too. I’m not surprised!

I like dark green and deep purple. It’s hard to tell which fit that description from what I see but wow, what a lot of nice ink. I’ve also wanted to try out the iroshuzuki (sp.?) but haven’t done so yet. I’m always open to trading a fountain pen of equal value for a bottle of ink, as I seem to have more pens than ink!

Definitely try Iroshizuku!!! It is the best thing ever. I even want to get the colors I don’t care for too much just because of how well behaved they are. More pens than ink is a great problem to have!
