Happy Holidays everyone! Before I begin I would like to congratulate Cesar Hernandez for winning our latest giveaway! ^_^.
Since nothing says Christmas holidays like red and green tones, I decided to try out Colorverse Morning Star. I will be working my way through all 20 colors for a while! But I’m not complaining, the ones I’ve tried out so far are fantastic. Of course one fantastic aspect of these inks is the packaging. As always it comes with two bottles, perhaps one to give to a friend?
For this review I decided to ink up my Pilot Vanishing Point Green Ice LE.

The color is a beautiful teal/turquoise with delicious shading and hints of sheen. The red sheen can be found sparingly in regular writing in wetter parts of the letters. It complements the shading to create a lovely combination of ink traits. A lot of times when I try inks they are usually heavy with one trait or another, but this is a great all around ink. The flow is above average, and it is definitely saturated enough to see clearly on most paper.
I leave you now with a photo of Christmas dinner before it was carved…I’m still almost too full to pick up a pen lol!

I love that colour – turquoises and teals being my favourite colours generally – and that sheen is gorgeous.

Morning Star is one of the 5 inks I bought and I love it. But – I don’t know if this is my screen – in real life, including on my Hippo Noto, I find it much more green than turquoise/teal than it shows in these gorgeous pictures.

Are you making blobs or writing? For me the color has a decent range of color, when I do blobs it comes out with a lot of variation, but in writing it turns out with a nice shading/sheen but more muted color than the blob. Not sure if that makes sense lol. It could also be the lighting, I take my photos in a light box.
