Robert Oster definitely needs no introduction 🙂  He has blues for miles and they are all fantastic.  One of his latest creations is Frankly Blue, which debuted at the DC Pen Show ^_^.  I am a bit late to the party with this color, but with so many inks, who can keep up?

I am blessed to have a few bottles of this color, so I will be drawing two winners for this giveaway!  ❤

For this review I decided to ink up my Sailor Eggplant, which needed ink, even if it’s not purple.

Ink Swab and Comparison (don’t mind the drop of water that got onto the “Blue”, oops!) :

This ink seemed on the drier side to me, which I found interesting with an RO blue.  Not terribly dry, but in my Sailor B which is usually pretty wet, it was not.  I couldn’t find sheen in writing, but I did find it on the swab and blob.  It may come out if a gusher pen is used, more experimenting definitely required!  The drier flow might have contributed to the awesome shading that came out in writing.  Sheen is always first for me, but shading is a very close second!
