As soon as I received this beautiful pen from 18111com, this ink immediately popped into my head. The pen will get a review of its own of course, but for now here is a photo to enjoy. It is black with a red bonfire throughout.
Almost the same colors as the Vermillion Lacquer bottle!
For this review I inked up my beautiful new pen ^_^

I was blown away by this color, it has a wide range of color, sheen, and a lot of character. I was stalking it on the Pen and Message site for quite sometime and was happy to catch a restock. I had initially ordered the other colors, but this one eluded me. In the end it was meant to be ^_^.

How does it compare to Australian Roses from Noodler’s? Seems close on the ink blob though your swatch makes it look more orange-y.

How does this ink compare to Australian Roses from Noodler’s? It looks a bit like it in the ink blot but the swatch looks more orange-y. Thanks!

That ink is a nice colour but I’m definitely more drawn to that pen. It’s a beauty.

Just a note to mention this ink is sometimes referred to as Shu-Urushi, and might be more easily found under that name.

I think it *does* literally translate to Vermillion Lacquer, at least, but I agree Google is not very reliable. 🙂
