Montblanc UNICEF Blue Review

Montblanc inks hold a special place in my heart, as it was the first FP ink I ever purchased, so of course I was thrilled to hear that they had a new blue coming.  I have a few of their other blue tones, BMW Blue, JFK, and Miles Davis Blue and they do not disappoint so I went in with high hopes for this one.

This time around Montblanc decided to give this limited ink a 50ML bottle instead of the 30ML they usually use.

That size up is amazing!  But also comes at a price, previous LE inks have been $19.00 in the USA, while this version comes in at $39.00.

For this review I decided to ink up my new Pilot Custom 823 with FA nib which also came in today ^_^.

Not much going on in the time-lapse, but there is a beautiful range of color in this ink.  The shading during normal writing is amazing, and with the FA nib I experienced a sort of sheeny outline as soon here.  I enhanced the color a bit for IG purposes, but the variation is the same.

This color reminded me a lot of Lamy Pacific Blue.

No regret ordering multiple bottles of this one!  Speaking of which, one will be a future giveaway ^_^, but for some reason only one of my bottles shipped so far so it will be at a later date.
