Are there really 50+ Kobe inks already? I have 4 of them, I’m super behind! The latest in my collection is Kobe #57, one of a pair of Hydrangea colors. I chose to try this one first because of the photos online showing an interesting shading.
It comes in the standard Kobe box.
In a Sailor bottle…but WITHOUT the miser plastic *rejoice*. Yes, I know it can be taken out but I feel like its such a waste to throw away π¦
For this review I decided to ink up my Pelikan M205 Amethyst F nib. Its a reliable and generally wet writer.

Something special I hardly ever do, paper towel test!

As you can see from the paper towel test, this color has a lovely blue halo. The ink actually shades this color sometimes which creates an absolutely divine effect. It ran on the drier side in this pen, but I am guessing in a broader nib the effect would be much more dramatic. There’s a white TWSBI Eco Broad on its way so I can test that theory. This color seriously reminds me of the unicorn emoticonπ¦π¦π¦. The only issue that I find is that the saturation is a bit low for my liking. But no regrets on this ink, I cant wait to try its sister #56!

I LOVE this. The shading is lovely but I was expecting something with a little more red based on that label. Still, this blue-purple is definitely on my list!
