Green, not a color you see me review often, but this year I’m determined to try new things ^_^. It felt only natural to try a Sailor green since I am so fond of the brand. I decided to give Tokiwa-Matsu a go.
It comes in a white Sailor box with seasonal flower patterns on it.
The bottle is the standard Sailor bottle with the lovely miser plastic inside.
For this review I decided to ink up my Pilot VP Raden which was once again out of ink.
Line going down on 68GSM Tomoe:
Ink Blob HDR and Regular Light:
That sheen tho! ^_^. This ink has a very nice range of shading and is also a sheen monster. The blob looks to be more than 50% sheen, I am impressed! It has a nice wet flow, but isn’t too quick to dry. As you can see from my InkJournal entry, I had a bit of a smudging issue. Perhaps next time I will try a drier pen, hopefully not at the expense of the beautiful sheen. I can’t say that I am a huge fan of greens, but this one certainly did open my heart to the color.
I leave you now with this awesome photo of my love for contrast stitching.

My favorite green ink (and I have a lot of green inks) ! Just bought two bottles after getting it as a random sampler thrown in with my order of KWZ Standard Honey ink from Vanness. Great green to purple shading on some papers and even a metallic sheen on some papers (or possibly with some nibs). Got it in my Classic Pen LB5 Midorigi, my Parker IM Premium Emerald Pearl “Vacumatic” and my vintage Esterbrook Model J “Foliage green”.

Nice review. I think it might be the pen … as you know I’m a lefty, and have no problems using this ink on Tomoé River paper. I bought this and Sailor Jentle Souten at the same time. The latter has become one of my favourites. Since then I’ve also bought nioie-sumire. I’ve found Sailor inks to get great for a left handed person!
Another green I like is Moss Green from Graf von Faber-Castell, but I can’t use it because it NEVER dries on TR paper …

This is wofuerndl news. After years of living outside the U.S. so as to keep my marriage with my Filipino partner alive, I may finally be able to offer him a green card and move back home together.

“shore: a conviction I think is a mandatory forfeiture of pension benefits, yes?”That would make sense so my guess is no. I thought there was an article recently saying no, but maybe that was NY.
