In this age of technology, I constantly feel myself being pulled between analog and digital.  This is increasingly true for writing.

It is so convenient to switch my iPad on and start writing away, but there is just something about how it feels when a fountain pen nib hits the smooth surface of tomoe paper that keeps me coming back.  For lack of a better word, it is satisfying.

There is also something to be said of the acquisition of a new pen.  To me it is infinitely more exciting than buying a new ipad or phone, and its easier to find motivation to collect pens year round, where as I usually keep the same iPad until the new model comes out.  Not necessarily an Apple fangirl, I use a PC and a Surface Pro, but I find myself reaching for my Apple accessories more often.

The jury is still out on whether I enjoy my Apple Watch or Chanel J12 more…I think I will always keep both around.

Changing the color on a digital device is also not as satisfying as those inky fingers ^_^

And pen mail!  What could be more exciting?

I leave you with a few more photos of the lineup and a photo of a chance vet encounter with our new puppy’s real life sister!  What a blessed holiday season.
